MORE ABOUT US
Built onto the back of Whitecourt Family Worship Centre, is a place called, Lornes Blanket.
A place of safety and warmth. A place where one’s bed remains the same night after night.
A place far removed from a tent in the woods. A place free off alcohol and drugs.
A place of 5 rooms and ten beds. A place where one can shower every morning and relax in a living room in the evening.
A placed where a new start is possible. A place to learn—budgeting, resume writing skills and cooking.
A place to learn self sufficiency. A place where the goal is to live independently after a nine months stay.
A place where there is a counseling on how to find a job. A place to break the destructive habits that can lead to homelessness.
A place that is a long term solution and not just a one night band-aid.
A place where “Homelessness” looses the letters, “lessness” and becomes “HOME!”
